This tour is organized to discover two milestones in Transylvanian history: Alba Iulia and Sibiu. We are departing in the morning from Cluj Napoca to Alba Iulia, a city that represented the place where the gold was prepared for shipment to Rome. Some of the ruins of the city have been restored and can be visited, so that we will visit the Catholic Cathedral, the Orthodox Cathedral, the Austrian Vauban citadel. At noon we will attend the changing of the Austrian guards and a parade with old costumes and horses. We will then leave for Sibiu, which was the central point of the Transylvanian Saxons. We will discover the three main markets, the local museums and the beauty of the city, and in the evening we will return to Cluj.
