This tour will take you to an area where people still keep the traditions of hundreds of years old. On the first day, we will depart from Cluj Napoca in the afternoon and go to one of the most traditional regions of Romania, Maramureș. We will arrive in the small village Poienile Izei, and our host for the next two days will be a local family, who will spoil us with traditional products.

The next day, after a traditional breakfast, we will leave for Vișeu de Sus, where we will travel with one of the oldest industrial trains in Europe – Mocănița. At the destination, we will serve a picnic, and in the afternoon, we will return to Vișeu to continue our journey to Ieud, where is România‘s oldest wooden church. In the evening, we will return to Poienile Izei, where we will visit the wooden church and walk through the village. We will serve dinner at our guesthouse and prepare for a new day.

On the last day, we will leave after breakfast through the Iza Valley and stop in Bârsana, where we will visit a local craftsman and the new Orthodox complex. At noon we will arrive in Sighetul Marmatiei, where we will visit one of the most interesting museums in the country, the local prison. We will then go to the cheerful cemetery in Săpânța, which is full of crosses painted with funny stories, and in the evening, we will return to Cluj.
