Northern Transylvania is a treasure that is waiting to be discovered, full of ancient traditions, Roman, and medieval sites and delicious traditional dishes. During this tour, we will leave in the morning from Cluj Napoca to Zalău, which is an industrial city from Sălaj county. From here, we will go to Șimleul Silvaniei, a town that was once inhabited by German and Jewish communities. After visiting the city, we will go to the small village of Carastelec (one of the oldest wine regions in Transylvania), where we will have the chance to visit the winery and taste the wines produced here. We will continue our journey to Badacin, for the local brandy called „țuică” or „palinka”, and in the evening, we will return to Cluj.
