The all-day tour will give you the chance to discover the architecture and history of the city, as well as the culinary secrets of Transylvania. We propose to start the tour with a walk through which we will discover Cluj’s history, culture, architecture, and tradition. Then we will visit the old Benedictine monastery, the birth houses of Mathias Corvinus (King of Hungary) and Stephan Bocskai (leader of Transylvania and a great promoter of religious reform), the old market square and Babes-Bolyai University.
We will continue to explore the city with the main square of the town, where we will find the St. Michael’s Catholic Church, the statue of Mathias Corvinus, the street with the symmetrical case and the Bannfy family palace. We will serve lunch at a traditional restaurant in the city, where we will find dishes like “cabbage a la Cluj“ or “sarmale“ and we will meet many locals. In the afternoon we will relax in the Botanical Garden, which was opened in 1920, the local ethnographic museum and an old gold mine from Roşia Montană and we will end the all-day tour with a panoramic view over the city.
